About us
The Kato Laboratory of Molecular and Mechanistic Immunology focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of “self” and “non-self” discrimination against viral infections in immune responses, in particular RIG-I like receptors. We also aim to develop new tools for manipulation of cellular functions by utilizing the defense systems of prokaryotes, such as the CRISPR-Cas system.
